How to add Dashicons to your Custom Post Type in WordPress

Dashicons is the official icon font of the WordPress admin as of 3.8

Let’s start by a simple example. Dashicons are already included in WordPress since version 3.8 but you still need to include them to get them to display properly on the front end of your site; that is, your theme.
